<p>室友去考 EA 证的第一场考试。我跟她一起去，相当于一个陪同。</p>
<p>考场在新泽西一个小地方里，地方实在不大。建筑物使用的是一种很老式的电梯：门还没完全关上就开始下降，按钮少得可怜，也没有显示楼层的屏幕。整条走廊很窄，除了考场就是辅导班，看起来不像考试中心，更像是临时拼出来的空间。</p>

<p>很诡异啊。</p>
<p>等待期间我无聊得很，幸好带了日语作业和 iPad。上个月的日语作业我全部忘记做了。</p>
<p>iPad 本来是用来读书的。我最近在读《无可羡慕：朝鲜人的普通生活》，整体感觉像是小说，反而很适合这种等人的场合。书中记录的生活细节，让我第一次对那个过去几乎完全陌生的国家和其中的人有了一点具体的印象。</p>
<p>不远处坐着一个男人，手机一直在响不同的铃声。我起初以为他是在故意放铃声玩，可能是提神吧，哈哈。结果过了几分钟他接了电话，说「不要再给我打电话了」。</p>
<p>居然是真的电话啊……</p>
<p>既然是在考场，倒是不要放任电话响这么久吧！</p>
<p>我在等待区坐了个几小时，有工作人员过来告诉我，作为陪同不能在等待区逗留，让我去电梯旁边的长椅那边待着去。好吧，也没什么区别，都是坐着读书。</p>
<p>又等了一段时间，室友终于出来了。果不其然，她通过了考试 —— 她第一次做模拟考试的时候，其实就已经考到了及格线啦。</p>
<p>人一出来，这一天才算真正往前走了一点。</p>
<p>新泽西整个州给我的感受就是：没想到纽约市这么令我诟病的公共交通系统，在美国里已经算是佼佼者了。</p>
<p>新泽西的公共交通系统可以说是莫名其妙，各个地方都毫无逻辑，App 界面甚至丑陋到让我抓狂。这个 App 也是蠢得要死，室友只是稍微将其退回了后台，它就把室友的账户登出了。我们上车后室友还需要手动在司机面前登录账号，白白浪费时间。</p>
<p>抛开软件不谈，公交车本身的问题也不少：车速极快，几乎没停稳就开门；人一上车立刻关门继续狂奔；没有 Tap 系统，必须提前买实体票，或者在 App 里处理好一切。</p>
<p>从纽约坐车去新泽西，通常要经过大巴终端。路线、购票、对应的 gate 都需要自己提前确认，不然现场很容易手忙脚乱。第一次用 NJ Transit 的话，更是很容易被它的设计绕晕。</p>

<p>回程时发现公交还要等一会儿，我们就先去了附近的麦当劳，买了个鸡块套餐。天已经完全黑了，店里却依旧人不少。</p>
<p>这家麦当劳的饮料是无限续杯，反而让我有点意外。可能只有纽约市这样的大城市，才会把这种事情一步步取消掉吧。刚来纽约的时候，我还记得有些区的麦当劳也是可以续杯的，后来一个个都消失了。</p>
<p>这个小镇的路很宽，车很多，但行人却很少。就连红绿灯也需要手动按键才会变灯。车站很老旧，大多只有一块不起眼的小牌子，晚上几乎看不见。我们在附近绕了好一会儿，才终于确认自己没有走错。</p>
<p>或许正是这些细碎又不太方便的地方，才让我真正意识到：我确实已经离开纽约市了吧。</p>
